Employee Promotion Roadmap

Roadmap

1. New Hire (First 30 days):
- Initial training period for new employees.
2. Sandwich Artist (Meets base wage):
- Entry-level position after the initial training period.
- Base wage is established.
3. Professional Artist ($.50/hr raise):
- Promotion from Sandwich Artist.
- Receives a $0.50/hr raise.
- Eligible for additional responsibilities.
4. VIP Artist ($1.00/hr differential):
- Further promotion from Professional Artist.
- Receives a $1.00/hr differential from the base wage.
- Eligible for additional responsibilities.
5. Trainer:
- Must be a Professional Artist with 540 hours of working experience.
- Completion of in-store skills test is required.
- Receives a $1.00/hr differential.
- Receives an additional $2.00/hr differential when actively involved in training.
- Eligible for additional responsibilities.
### Paid Responsibilities:- Inventory and Delivery (Must be Pro Artist or higher):
- Receives a $0.50/hr differential.
- Schedule Management (Must be Pro Artist or higher):
- Receives a $0.50/hr differential.
- Cash Management (Must be Pro Artist or higher):
- Receives a $0.50/hr differential.
### Performance and Review:- Review Frequency:
- Employees undergo a performance review every 90 days.
- Performance-based Raises:
- If scores are above 85% in the review, employees receive an hourly raise.
- The raise amount ranges between $0.10 and $0.20.
- There is a cap at a $1.00 differential maximum for each position.

- New Hire → Sandwich Artist → Professional Artist → VIP Artist → Trainer.

- Differentials increase with each level of promotion or role change.

Points

  • Points. Staff are allowed a maximum of 3 penalty points. 3 points will result in action by management including up to termination of employment.

  • 1/2 point for 10min +/- shift clock in.

  • 1/2 points for shift swap not related to illness/injury or other manager approved reason.

  • 1.0 point for missed shift or late swap (same day)

  • 2.0 points for missed shift without notice (with valid excuse, accident/missed alarm clock)

  • 3.0 points for missed shift without notice or valid excuse. (Will generally result in termination)

  • 1/2 points for close/opening store off store hours when scheduled at least 30mins before open or 30mins after store closing time.
